My take on the October sketch by Beggahuna that was included in the Swirlydoos Garden Harvest kit.

I've kept it pretty simple because I didn't want to cover the artwork on the Blue Fern Studios pattern paper - it's just too pretty to hide. I did apply a layer of heavy gesso here and there and then I used opaque modeling paste with my favorite Art Basics Natural Flourish stencil to give it a very subtle look.
A bit of layering - and a title piece - with pieces cut out of the Calling Cards sheet, along with the reverse title strip adhered to a piece of lace, complete my basic design.
And now to the pops of color: Wild Orchid flowers here and there, along with an Ingvild Bolme metal piece from the kit and oh yes, that hot air balloon!!! Something about the colors in my photo inspired me to take out my long-neglected Silks and brighten up this wonderful acrylic piece!

Sophia among the pumpkins - it just wouldn't be Halloween without our annual Autumn photo shoot!!!
