My Silhouette does that too sometimes. Most of the time it works well enough to make do at least. Like the masked burlap sections. Like the "escape" stamping. And your doodled edges on your elements are a perfect finishing touch.
Brings back good memories of my last trip to SF. Love the liberties you took with the sketch, especially adding all that journaling and putting a picture in the circle!
Fab LO, I love all the details. One of my dreams has always been to go to San Francisco, so much to see and do, and thank you for giving me a little glimpse into the fun!!
I love the way you did the journalling on this layout. Sometimes the story to tell is so great that a few lines just won't do it. The detail on the layout is beautiful too. So much to see when you look at the pages.
This is a really great look! I like all the different elements you used and I didn't know you could journal on the cricut either! I also like how the pictures are grouped together too.
If you hadn't said anything, I wouldn't have known that you had any issues cutting anything! I love that you included all of that journaling! You did a great job grouping embellishments. Such a gorgeous lo overall.
There is a lot to love about this! I really like the Escape cut. And I had never considered having the Cricut print my journaling for me! Another reason I am glad I joined this group!
I am loving this concentration on journalling on your layouts - it really feels like we are storytelling sometimes - love how you made the song lyric stand out.
Awesome Lily - when I was reading your journaling it brought up so many memories of times I've spent in San Francisco. I felt like I was there with you. I love the way you did the line from "I left my heart in San Francisco" in your journaling but made it jump out. That made me smile because I could hear Tony Bennett singing in the background in my mind. You used so many different things on this one and used so many different products - I love that about your work!
I love how you made a mistake (thanks to cricut) and made it wonderful. That is a true mark of a artist! I am intrigued by the burlap template and how you used it on this LO. I learn so much from you!!!
Holy cow this layout took forever! I had to restart the journaling on the cricut over and over because it kept stopping mid writing. If you look closely you can see where I had to do it in two pieces. i also had alot of trouble getting the diecuts to cut. I'd use the same setting with the same paper and sometimes it would work, sometimes not! I love the look but I'm not really happy with the machine.
Anyway, in spite of all that I like how it turned out.
I used the sketch from this months 2 page sketch challenge. I took ALOT of liberties with the design.
