Made for the Canvas Challenge that Cindy (talkis23) is hosting at Swirlydoos, this is totally NOT what I had in mind when I started, lol, but I’m glad I listened to my little fairies and let them take them where they wanted to go. As I was pulling out an 8 x 11 canvas, I noticed a pile of small squares that I bought a long time ago and took a package. And there went my original idea, using the net bags that my citrus fruits are packaged in. I’ve used a couple of my favorite stencils and 3-D gloss gel to create the background patterns. Next, I broke out my Gelatos and my mister and colored all the surfaces. When everything was dried and set, I glued everything together, again using the gloss gel. Actually, this is the one adhesive that I used throughout; it really does an amazing job. Meanwhile, I started pulling out my embellies: Creative Embellishment chippies that scrappy buddy Maggi gave me when I used up the ones that had been part of a Swirly kit, Prima and Petaloo flowers, lots of pearls and pearl strands, and the above mentioned fairies. The chipboard frames have been embossed with a mix of silver and purple Antiquities powder from Ranger. The fairy wings have been blinged up thanks to Rae and her generous gift of tons of Prima Glitter. I’ve used a bit of metal on the Petaloo flower in the center and have blinged THAT up with some Art C beads (never mind how long I’ve had those!), along with some of the Prima glass beads.
