For my take on the January sketch from Swirlydoos, I was inspired by two things: this photo of my grandsons taken in December and the title chippie - part of a RAK from Swirly Designer Bec.
I'm still trying to follow my resolution to use more of my tools and this month, I'm digging into my stamps. I've done some light imaging in the background with the 7 Gypsies Distressed Clock wood mount and I created my own patterned paper á la Kim with the Unity Wood Grain Script stamp and a circle cut from a piece of My Colors cardstock in Putty that came in the July 2015 add-on. The smaller circle was cut from one of the 7 Dots papers that came with the kit and altered with a Crafters Workshop stencil using Prima chalk ink in Old Road.
I happened to have the CE Leafy Vine Frame chippie in my stash; I've colored it and the title piece with the same chalk ink.
The embellie cluster was created using wired burlap trim, Prima flowers and Vintage Trinkets from my stash, along with a couple of the wood icons that Krissy included in the kit.
