No first day of school picture for mom?? Girls and boys can be so different, can't they? Oh, well...you did a great job working with what you had. A fun, bright page - goes with her hair!
Another great LO! You always amaze me with your LOs! I don't know how you can put the 'uglies' together without any modification beyond cutting and make it look like you spent hours carefully choosing which papers to use together!
Love how you made these "uglies" beautiful :) Well, my bunch are such hams when the camera comes out every one of them come running! Boy those DCWV are really making the uglies rounds! Wonder if they know lol!
yep, that's when it starts! My boy is in eight grade also and it sure is interesting! I always love the look of your layouts. They are alwys spectacular without looking like you tried to hard. You have a wonderful style! Love the journaling on an angle and the way you combined everything
Oh look! The pink paper comes with it's own bling for you!! These are very workable, in fact I think I accidentally started 'working' them in my head while writing this!!
For the "February Ugly Paper" Challenge. The ugly papers are: the argyle BG and the pink "girly" PP. The "ugly" embellishments are the bird and butterfly die cuts.
The papers turned out to be perfect for my daughter's 8th Grade "Back to School" photo. Even the embellishments, which really aren't school related, worked because she just happened to be wearing turquoise in the photo!
Journaling: "This year Madison wouldn't let me take her photo on her first day of school. The only photo I have is this one, taken after she had her hair cut and streaked, 4 days before school started. 8.1.15"
Because my daughter is not really "girly" I toned done the "girly" look of the page by adding some "grungy" school embellishments from my stash.
The grunge embellishments (the "Dress for Success" and "Back to Class"), the Project Life Card and the "8th Grade" stickers are all hoarded product...at least 4 years old (the school stuff is WAY older). Because of this I am also sharing in the "February Hoarders" challenge
