yep not going in with jellyfish! Although I do echo the sentiment that Bill does look good in a wet suit. Oh that would have been another reason I wouldn't have gone in - trying to squeeze into one of those - yep sausage queen
Bill looks good in his wet suit. I am not sure if I would want to be in the water with those huge jellyfish but to be with the sea lions would be awesome!
Hmm - I'm not sure what I would do. I would love to swim with the sea lions, but I'm afraid of deep water. When I did a dolphin encounter, it was in a shallow lagoon. Bill looks ecstatic!
I would have been right by Bill's side. It would have been a once in lifetime experience swimming with the sea lions and ....I like jellyfishes! Seriously...2 feet? I don't think I have ever seen jellies that big before. WOW! DH looks so happy in the photos.
When we got close to the island we dropped anchor and those who wanted to swim with the sea lions were sent below deck to change into wet suits and of course they didn't have to ask Bill twice. He was really excited about the opportunity to swim with these cute little guys.
The water around us was infested with huge jellies (jelly fish) that were as large as 2' across! Absolutely massive! We were told that they were not dangerous - they did sting but it would only hurt for about 15 minutes. That was enough to keep me on the boat but at least 10 of the passengers, including Bill, didn't seem to care. They wanted to swim with the sea lions and no giant jellies were going to stop them!
One of my pictures shows a big jelly right behind Bill! I don't know how he managed to avoid getting stung.
