I am so excited to share this layout with you! This is only the second layout I've made where the subject matter is not human! This is a picture that my youngest son, Daniel, took on one of his hiking trips along the Iron Goat Trail here in Washington state. I just love the depth and rustic nature of the snow shed and how the light filtered in.

I had so much fun with this layout and it came together much more quickly than my layouts usually do. This is the first time I've used corrugated cardboard for my background paper. It came from packaging material. You wouldn't believe all the acrylic paints I used to get the background color to match the picture! Let's see, there was an olive green, champagne gold, white, brown, dark brown, grey and finally black! Then after I dry brushed it on, I added TH Mustard Seed distress ink and then Perfect Pearls Heirloom Gold spray mist to give it a bit of shimmer and to match the color tones in the picture. I love how the corrugated cardboard brings out the columns.

For the sign I used a Martha Stewart paint chip sample in Precious Metal - Kelp Green. At the bottom I used Stampendous Mica Flakes and Shabby White embossing powder to extend the gravel in the picture.

My husband ordered the arrowheads and gave them to me awhile back to use on my projects.

The clock ring is from Prima - Finnabair Vintage Trinkets that I got from Reneabouquets.
