After you were done were you like..."um wait...that was too easy...shouldn't I be adding something or messing with it in some unessesary painstaking way?" I do that when LOs come together "too quickly." Like they teach the super hero's...with great power comes great responsibility. Just because we know how to really work a LO doesn't mean we have to. I love that you kept this clean it highlights the photo and still rocks that awesome red glitter BG paper.
Like the ribbon and pine cluster work. Like too the row of pine cones along the top and bottom of the photo matting area. The tag with the dangling twine works nicely too of course.
Behold, the second-fastest page I've ever done! LOL I had about an hour left of my crop last night and, instead of breaking and going to pump like I *should* have, I finished my 5 Ingredients page! LOL! This photo is over 3 years old now! OH MY how time does fly! This was our DS first Christmas, which we of course spent in Seattle with my family. We coordinated clothing for a family photo on Christmas day with my parents, sister, brother-in-law, DH, me and our baby boy. Gosh he was such a little pumpkin head then!!
I sat down with my 5 ingredients: 1 photo, stencil, snowflake, journaling tag and 2-word title and had to look through all my photos for something that would work with a snowflake! I live in So Cal so snowflakes are, well… rare! LOL! I could do an old photo of DH and I skiing, but I didn't have one there with me (gasp!), I had some Christmas pix in Disneyland, but didn't have my Disney papers (double-gasp!). I did have some family Christmas photos and when I browsed my papers I found these Christmas Basecoat papers by Kaisercraft. They looked so perfect with the red family photo that I went with it. Found that MME Notable Collection ppr and used the whole piece! Now to embellish… The page needed a bow and I originally thought red, but when I went to peruse the red ribbons at the crop store, none matched. I turned to my table-mates (new friends!) for advice and we collectively decided on the dark brown ribbon and I added the gauzy one behind. Then I remembered my Timmy foliage dies and that cute new Petaloo stick that I'd gotten at the last crop (with the Kaisercraft papers I think actually…). Added the snowflake from an OLD Maya Road ephemera pack, gold Stickles, tag and voila! PAGE DONE! Then I remembered the stencil ingredient! ::facepalm:: I was able to add the North Star stencil with the gold foil spray, but it doesn't show up very well in the photo, hence the closeup. Looks better IRL. Anyway, I finished the page in under an hour and a half – which is something of a record for me!
Also for my Hoarders challenge. That MME ppr, wood tag and omg that snowflake are oooold!
