I never thought I would use the term 'beautiful' in regard to a sports themed layout but here you go and make one. I love how you used that pp line and managed to convert a one pager to two pages. DS's journaling is a great story and well done. Super lo.
Sorry for the loss of your friend! What a thrill that must have been!! The journaling is fantastic and I'm glad he was able to put his perspective on it. On a side note: I am so sad that Bruce Irvin was traded to the evil Raiders! :(
What a wonderful tribute to your friend. So sorry for your loss. That Graphic 45 paper was perfect for the Seahawks!!! Love how you looped the twine at the bottom. I must try that!!!
What a special day this was for your son and Mike and Mike's family! I am so glad that such an effort was made by the team and team management to make this a day Mike would never forget. Beautifully scrapped Susan. I love all the layouts - such a an awesome sports layout!
This is the second trip to the training camp that DS made last year with his friend, Mike, who just recently passed away this month. DS did the journaling for me. I had done the first page and when I realized that the journaling was going to be so long I added the second page.
"In August of 2015 I called in another Seahawk favor, this time to attend training camp where Mike Forgey, Dan Forgey, and their parents Mike & Gayla Prummer joined us. We met up in the parking lot of McDonalds where Dan worked in high school. Then took one car to a secret parking lot for Seahawk employees where we got on a small bus to the facility across the street. When we arrived we disembarked but instead of being on the berm with the masses we needed to be somewhere for easy access and away from people for Mike’s health, and that’s where our friend Kelly allowed us all to be on the patio with the players’ families.
At the patio there was free food, coffee, drinks and Seahawk swag. We posted up at a table under the tent where Mike set up shop with all the camera gear he brought. He snapped a ton of great shots. The offensive lineman ran through drills less than 5 yards from where we sat. We watched all the Seahawks take the field, including Jimmy Graham, who come out to loud applause but the loudest applause was reserved for Russell Wilson. Throughout practice RW3 was finding Graham consistently including a couple TDs. After practice we saw rookie WR Tyler Lockette and CB Richard Sherman go to another field where Sherman showed Lockette how to get off press coverage. Mike also got a number of items signed by Michael Bennett and all the defensive linemen.
All in all a great day and after being one of the first ones there we were one of the last ones to leave. "
