It was such a beautiful spring day in 1999, we decided to take a drive up near Trapper Creek on Petersville Road. It was an amazing site to see Mount Russell, Mount Foraker, Mount Hunter, Denali, Mount Silverthrone and Mount Deception all in a row without a single cloud in the sky. DH spotted the satellite dishes and we had found Bartlett Earth Station. It was built in 1969 and was Alaska's first satellite communication station. The station was deactivated in 2001. Thanks so much for looking. I'm honored.
