How clever are those people. The back rest was a brilliant idea. You sure took so great photos of the grounds. I really get a sense of the layout of it. I also like the overlapping of the photos on the page. You are rocking these LO from Yap!!!
Love these photos - especially to top one showing the slabs of stone. I would never had guessed what they were. Interesting on this house and the men's house is the tall steeply sloped roof.
Our guide next took us to the village “Meeting Room” or "Meeting House" which was a large and very primitive structure for members of the village to assemble for different occasions. This traditional type of building is called a "p'ebay", a place for the community to come together for school, dances or meetings.
In front of the meeting room was a courtyard with cobblestones covering the ground. Our guide told us that when the weather was nice many gatherings and meetings are held outside in this area. Slabs of stone jutted up between the cobblestones and we were curious what that was all about. Our guide told us the slabs were to lean your back against when you are sitting on the ground.
