Our guide next took us to the village “Meeting Room” or "Meeting House" which was a large and very primitive structure for members of the village to assemble for different occasions. This traditional type of building is called a "p'ebay", a place for the community to come together for school, dances or meetings.

In front of the meeting room was a courtyard with cobblestones covering the ground. Our guide told us that when the weather was nice many gatherings and meetings are held outside in this area. Slabs of stone jutted up between the cobblestones and we were curious what that was all about. Our guide told us the slabs were to lean your back against when you are sitting on the ground.
