Journaling reads:
I don't know that I have an actual "happy place," but if I do it is somewhere where I can hear and see water. I find water to be calming and soothing. Nothing relaxes me like floating on the pool, listening to the water flow.
Even when I was little, my mother would take me to Oak Brook to shop, and all I would want to do was watch the fountains.
I could live by the ocean, and do live by the Gulf, but I think I really prefer a small stream, with water trickling and dancing through rocks. I love waterfalls, and tend to favor the purring of the smaller ones to the roaring of the great big ones.
There are no waterfalls where I live, nor really any small streams. For now I will have to content myself with building a small fountain. There are always vacations and dreams...
