Monday, March 10th, 2014 – Quiet day at sea. Jan had arranged for us to take a tour to the florist's area to see where all the beautiful flowers on the ship were stored and the arrangements were made. It was really interesting and Bill loved the sweet flower smells! He told them they might find him there quite frequently just smelling the flowers and enjoying the fragrance but of course, you can't get into that part of the ship without an escort.
There is a long hallway on the 1st floor that spans the length of the ship. There are exterior doors in the middle of the ship that open directly on this floor and go to this hallway. Food, flowers and other supplies are loaded here. Supplies are then easily moved on this floor to one of the freezers, refrigerators or storage areas on this floor or put on a service elevator to be delivered to another floor. The passenger's luggage is also loaded and unloaded here.
I must admit, it was a little creeped out when we
passed the morgue. I knew there was one on the
ship but still, it was a little strange to me to see
“MORGUE” on the door.
When we got back to our cabin there was a formal
invitation on our bed inviting us to the Captain's
cocktail party and dinner on Wednesday night.
We've never been invited to dine with a cruise ship
Captain before so this will be something new for us.

who are not on our ship, especially when we are in
port and lets them know that this ship is going
around the world. Finally remembered to get a
picture of it today.
