I love these pictures walking with the tiger although I am not crazy about the way I look in them. I was sweaty-hot in the Thailand heat.

The center of the enclosure had a large concrete swimming or bathing pool for the tigers which they get in and out of at will. When we got into the enclosure there were two tigers in the pool. One tiger got out of the water and went to the grass where he stretched in the sun to dry off for a few minutes and then walked over and tried to join us. Bill was next to the fence, then a tiger, then me, and now another tiger! I had one on both sides of me!

That is the only time I felt a little nervous – when we were walking with one tiger and another walked up and I was sandwiched between two big tigers! I wish the photographer had gotten pictures of that but the trainer was trying to get the tiger who joined us to move away and the photographer was assisting him in trying to get the tiger who joined us to go lay down on the grass.

This was a day I will never forget! I never, ever though I would touch a tiger, never mind being in an enclosure with 4 of them! Especially since the only weapon the trainer had was a small stick!

But I have to admit, even though I thought I would be a least a little bit afraid, I wasn't (except for the few minutes when I was between two big tigers). Everyone was very calm and they assured us that these tigers had been raised by hand since they were tiny cubs so they were used to people. They were also so well cared for and well fed - they had no interest at all in having us for lunch!

At Tiger Kingdom you have your choice of the big cats, the half-grown cubs or the really young cubs and I really felt attracted to the big cats. We must come back here again. I want to cuddle the cubs next time!
