This is my dgd when she graduated last June from University of CA at Davis. Davis, CA is known as the Bicycle Capitol of America because citizens lobbied for bike lanes and after 2 years of lobbying and one year of engineering, Davis created the first bike lanes in postwar America. Davis now has 50 miles of bike lanes and 50 miles of off-street paths, in a 10 square mile city! Any way my dgd had an accident with a grade school student when they were both on their way to school. My dgd got a concussion and she got banged up pretty badly. So months later after she graduated we went to a restaurant to give her gifts and grandma Micky gave her a bag and not just an envelope like I did, there was a homemade card from me though. In the bag was the helmet she had worn when she was a little girl. You can see she embraced the moment and we all had a good laugh and got some neat pictures!
