Hi friends~ I was visiting a blog; Shabby Arts Boutique(shabbyartboutique.com/2016/05/sewing-matchbook-needle-keepers.) and she shared with us how to make a matchbook style needle keeper. I have made "needle books" before, but had not seen this style. I had to try a few!
They are really quite simple to make.
A strip of heavy ppr 3" X 8.25"
(you could quick practice on some plain ppr)
Crease a fold for the bottom @ about 5/8"
Then 'tuck' the top into the bottom (fully) and mark that crease & fold. ( I use a bone folder for a sharp crease.)
For the inside I stapled a piece of felt; cut with pinking shears~ I added a few needles and minimal essentials.
Of course you could add what you like.
I used a punch to decorate some of the bottom folds, and added a bit of embellishments. I may do more. . . : )
Quite easy and fun!
I hope to post these on my blog soon, and will be including more details : )
MUCH THANKS! for taking time to peek in!
Karen

PS See the sweet sweet butterfly lace in the BG? That was from Renea's gorgeous Etsy Shop, Reneabouquets~ A gift for me during some trying times; thank you Renea~
