On the world Samantha usually took two picture of us getting off in each port and made one collage horizontal and one vertical with 2 different photos and I always choose the one I like best for the port title page. For this one, I used them both - think its the only time I've ever done that but I liked the page with 2 pictures this size and used the Horizontal on the title page.
(On our last Holland America cruise they snapped on shot getting off the ship and if they were horrible - so be it. In two of them my eyes are closed or one of us were moving! We miss Samantha - she made sure the picture were good!)
I've mentioned Samantha before - the photographer on the ship. Chris, the guy that's in so man of our cruise photos was her boyfriend and it appeared to be pretty serious. He was the drummer on the cruise and she often had him in costume at the bottom of the gangway to take pictures with the passengers.
After the cruise Samantha and Chris were assigned to different ships. Samantha met someone else pretty quickly, married and left the ship photo business.
Chris went with Seaborn for a for about a year as a musician and now is a drummer in the band for Ringling Brothers.

Samantha is the ships photographer who is always posted at the gangway to take photos of the passengers as they get off the ship at each port.
Then she takes the photos and makes the wonderful collages with our pictures and other local pictures. We rarely buy them but on this cruise, we purchased the entire package.
As we were leaving the ship for our day in Durban, Bill asked Samantha if she had a lot of pictures taken of her and she said that never happens.
Bill told her, "Well then hand me your camera and show me which button to push."
She did and Bill took this wonderful photo of her!
