Normally I would have dressed a little better for an event like this but it was an hour right after we got back on the ship after a full day in Durban. Everyone was completely casual and very tired.

Journaling:

That night the ship held a huge sail away party with lots of different African appetizers as well as free wine and beer but what we loved best were the free soft drinks. It doesn't take much to make us happy – a free Coke or two usually does the trick.

Passengers kept walking up to me at the party and saying, “You aren't taking him anywhere, he's my husband!” Don't think I will ever be allowed to live that one down.

The party was in honor of Archbishop Desmond Tutu who boarded the ship in today along with his wife, some other family members and a few of his friends as well as his choir. (Archbishop Tutu would be preaching a Sunday Service on the ship and his choir would be providing the music.) Mr. Cruise, Mr. Donald and the Archbishop will be cruising with us until we reach Cape Town. Our friend, Jan, will also be disembarking in Cape Town and we are going to miss her!

Saturday, March 29th, 2014 – Other than seeing Desmond Tutu around the ship a few times, it was a normal day at sea.

Note: I changed the last line to Archibishop Tutu on my original layout. I didn't mean to address him so casually, I was just typing in a hurry on the ship that note when I did my journaling and then copy/pasted it that way.
