I had so much fun creating this sweet bear tea party themed flip book. I normally make cards, but I wanted to stretch myself and try to make something especially for a crafty friend who loves sweet, feminine things in the cutsie style. I created the base with 6x6 papers from Authentique's Sweetness collection, American Crafts Spring collection, and Dear Lizzy's Neapolitan collection. I connected all the papers with various gold washi, leaving space between each paper to create a gusset for more dimensional embellishments. Then I water colored three stamped images of critters carrying sweet treats with Zig Clean Color Real Brush markers. This was totally new to me, but I loved the control of the markers and the soft look you can get just blending with a little water. This was perfect for the sweet soft theme of the project. Then I went to town with embellishments. I used fuzzy rickrack, crocheted lace trims, cupcake flairs to top paper clips, cupcake flairs on rosettes to decorate a die cut tea pot, tiny doily backed paper roses to decorate die cut tea cups, hand made book paper flowers, and a wood veneer cupcake that I painted and coated with pink Stickles.
