Oh for the love girl, you cease to amaze me with your creativity! This is really an awesome guy card. I would never have thought to use those little round things in this way. Of course, I have so much that I haven't used & really had forgot about it till now. I love how you did the stenciling. Again, another piece of art!:)
Here's a card I made for one of my nephews in CA. This is my third and final project for the Cricut Challenge. Both die cuts are from the Ornamental Iron 2 cartridge and were cut using the cover off an old paper pad that is a little thinner than chipboard. The Happy Birthday is wood and was from Unique Laser Designs.
On the bottom piece I rubbed a Faber-Castell gel stick here and there and rubbed it in with my finger. It was a bit more yellow than I wanted so I applied some TH Frayed Burlap to darken it a little. On the fleur-de-lis piece I just rubbed TH Black Soot directly from the pad and then sprinkled clear embossing powder and heat embossed it. On the Happy Birthday I did the same only using TH Fired Brick and Frayed Burlap.
On the upper left and lower right corners I used a paper stencil of a die cut that Melissa (Scraphouse) sent me that is a Tim Holtz Alterations die. Just used my finger dabber with TH Frayed Burlap, clear embossing powder and heat embossed again.
The little brown circles were sent to me awhile back from Marylou (Meggie's Nana) in a bag filled with gizmos from her son! The metal rings I got from Hobby Lobby.
