Wednesday, April 2nd, 2014 – Another day in Cape Town. All onboard was not until 12:30 so we had time to go back to the Victoria Market and buy the caftan I loved last night! Bill thought about it overnight. As soon as he work up this morning Bill said, “Remember that dress you liked yesterday? (He meant the caftan.) I think we should go back to the market and get for you.” He didn't have to ask me twice!

While still in a shopping mood I found a set of chunky African beads, and I really wanted chunky beads from South Africa! I hadn't expected to pay 490 Rand for them but they went so well with both my new caftans that Bill pulled out $49.00 in US Dollars and I walked out proudly with my new African beads which were made by local craftsmen.

I also purchased 2 more African bead necklaces from other vendors - they weren't nearly as expensive or well-made but I am still really fond of them too!

Bill left the mall to hail a cab and hopefully come back with more license plates from South Africa (he got a large batch of them in Durban). I took the shuttle from the Victoria Market to the ship and got back almost an hour before Bill. When he did get back, he was happy to have around 75 license plates from Cape Town.

It was nice to go up to the Lido and relax with a nice leisurely late lunch of baked ziti. I know we will enjoy having a sea day tomorrow to recuperate from this past day and a half in Cape Town. My feet will sure appreciate the day at sea!

Picture taken several weeks later. (I wore my new caftan on formal night.)
