What a gorgeous page you created...it certainly honor your grandparents. I loved reading your journaling and your description...I could see you standing on the basin helping with the biscuits! Thanks for taking me down memory lane with you.
How very sweet! I was raised by country grandparents too and those memories are a treasure to me. Now my children are being exposed to running through fields and digging tadpoles out of their pond. I can't imagine a better childhood. This page is just fabulous on so many levels. All of your interesting layers make this layout pop in your gallery!
There is NOTHING like having memories of country life as a kid! I think it really shapes people into better human beings to have that relationship with the earth...knowing what the fields smell like, and yes pumping water!
What beautiful memories! Because of memories like this, once a country girl always a country girl. Your grandmother's smile is contagious! Beautifully scrapped.
Such touching and heartwarming page! I can see how much love you put in doing this gorgeous page! Love your story. Every element is amazing! Thank so much for sharing!
Hi Robin. What a beautiful page! Now I see what you were talking about in that message you sent. I really miss my Grandparents...my parents too. Ohh the memories.... :o)Ro
Why we scrap....history recorded and shared. Lovely page and lovely memories. Makes me remember my grandparents and the need to scrap some of their photos. Truly moving.
What a beautiful and tender layout. Robin, I hope you write up what you wrote about this layout and include it as hidden journaling, or put it on the back. Those are the memories we need to preserve along with the photos. I love your poignant journaling about the layout. It is simply fabulous.
Absolutely country gorgeous Robin! So lovely, and 'real;' just like them I'm sure. So sweet - the 2 hearts together, as they were. I really like how you used the darker blue for the BG, the page really stands out that way. Beautiful work~
This is so delightful! I love the layered and curled flowers and those adorable twig hearts (wherever did you find those??) Such a lovely tribute to your grandparents.
What a beautiful tribute to grandma and grandpa Nichols and such a sweet walk down memory lane! Love the pic, they look so happy! Thanks for taking me back to my days on my Uncle Bills farm, such sweet memories! BTW, you did an amazing job on your beautiful flowers and love those two grapevine hearts! Well done!
What a heartwarming lo! The picture is so sweet and the Journaling is beautiful! I also had wonderful Grandparents and it makes me want to do a lo of them! Love the flowers too!
Robin, I really can't say enough about this outstanding page! The beauty of the love and special memories you have of your dear grandparents shines through so brightly that it is not only a work of art but also a work of the heart! My grandparents were both important fixtures in my life as well. This page made me think back on some of my own special times with them. Thank you for that!
I wanted to create a page that absolutely represents my grandma and grandpa Nichols... I had so many wonderful and beautiful memories of the two of them !!! I can clearly see why, I'm so passionate about Country Lifestyle:) I remember pumping water from the old well, and running wild behind them on that field, crying when I learned that a chickens life is certainly short lived. My grandmother, carried 15 children and 13 life births, and was our working the next day helping my grandfather on the farm... One of my favorite memories was standing on an old wash tub, turned over, and helping her make biscuits! I was More Amazed and still am, by the beautiful hands that held me when I'd get scraped our the farm. Blackberry picking was horribly hot, muggy, and Sticky to say the least... that disappeared when grandma's cobbler came out of the oven:) then it was difficult waiting on the cobbler to cool, it seemed like forever, as a child:) The picture speakstand for itself, they loved each other through thick and thin:) My grandpa, was a gentle man, but such a hard worker, I see where my daddy's hard drive came from:)
I got out all of my mixed up media, then put it away. I knew that this was them, simplify and love!!!! Over 60 worth ... Used my Minds Eye paper, and my Bo Bunny too:)
Went down memory lane last night and cried, happy tears:) TFL, have a Great day everyone:)
