After taking Bill's pictures at the top I strolled over to admire a fabulous silver Jaguar which had a small United Kingdom flag on it that meant it was most likely a government car.

When I walked to the back of the car and saw that instead of a license plate with letters or numbers, there was a solid black plate with a 3-dimensional silver crown on it. While I was looking at it someone told me that it was the governor's car – he had taken his housekeeper to the market in his Jaguar and was waiting for her to do the grocery shopping.

Then Bill walked over to me with the Governor. It may have been tacky but I asked him if I could take a picture of him with Bill. He graciously posed with Bill by the back of his car next to the license plate.

We had no idea there would be so much to see here and to do here! We really had a full day! A lot of people ask us why we don't just take the ship's excursions in places like this. .

There are several reasons. We would not meet the charming local people and experience local taxis, tour guides and transportation.

Another reason, one that is very important to us since we travel on a budget, is the cost. Excursions offered by the cruise line cost many times over what we spend going independently or with a small group of people.

Most important, if we had been on the ship's excursion we would not have seen the old fort, met the Governor. or spent as much time as we wanted at each site. We like to be in charge of our day to plan it as we want.
