A colouring page, wow, AWESOME!! I love this LO, and bravo to you for great fussy cutting!! My Mum has passed and Dad still has many of their things and some are hideous, and I would say that to my Mum, and she would say it's the hideous things that make the best antiques!!
LOL! I love your journaling. We have a few things like that from our parents' homes. I love the paisley mat and love the sunburst. Great job on cutting out the lamp. I hope you enjoy the lamp forever!
Love your use of a coloring page. I have one that I have been thinking of using but haven't found the right pictures. I love that you cut that lamp out - it really stands out against the orange.
I had to laugh at your journaling about that lamp - I love the colors & texture on your page, beautiful- my dad has a lamp in the attic that he made & it's kinda weird- I'm glad he hasn't brought it over to me to put in my house....
I love the color combo for this page.......love the coloring book page too. But for me, an "old stuff" collector...the story about the lamp is priceless...my very favorite thing .......!!!!
I do love the crazy papers/colors for that crazy lamp! I am going over to my moms house tomorrow to continue taking pictures of the "possessions" she has held onto for year! There are a few that I know no one in the family is going to want as a keepsake/remembrance. I plan on doing a page of "do you remember that big ugly..." for later down the road when everything is gone. This one gives me great inspiration to follow thru with the plan.
That lamp is super cool. So different. How fun you used one of your coloring pages for the layout. I bought a coloring book for the trip and wondered what I was going to do with the pages. You have given me ideas!!! Thanks for the inspiration.
Funny! I like that you used a coloring book page. Strange that I haven't thought to do that. I like the ray design in the background, the black matting around that coloring page and the photo. And the title was so nicely done with the one colored word. Now that you have a LO of it, you can get rid of it and still never forget it.... provided your brother isn't making you keep it of course. :)
hmmmm . . . it is quite an interesting lamp. Love how you've created a lo dedicated to a light fixture - a family treasure??? love all the layers, stamping and large alphies for the title. GREAT job.
Very cool page! I love the paisley coloring page. Such a clever idea! I would never have been able to tell that the orange mat wasn't the original background for the lamp photo. Your fix is seamless!
