As we were leaving, Tamara surprised me with a gift of 2 packages of the Droste chocolates I wanted to try along with 5 bags of cookies that are made in Holland that I really enjoyed while we were visiting. Apparently, while we had been separated in the grocery store, Tamara did a little shopping too and sneaked her bag out to the car!
The four of us did a lot of planning this week. Patrick and Tamara are going to plan a trip to the United States in the next couple years and we have invited them to be our house guests and we offered to show them some of our beautiful country! We are retired – we can take a vacation too! We can't wait for them to come visit us. We didn't plan a time but Patrick told us one thing he really wants to experience – it's at the top of his bucket list – is to have a homemade, family, American Thanksgiving dinner with all the trimmings like you see in the movies.
I can arrange that!
