This was created for the March BOM challenge. I enjoyed creating this LO, but really hate my 4th grade photo! :D I was inspired by a LO I saw in a mag - I liked the blocking technique and paperclips that were used. Journaling: Q. What was the name of your elementary school?
A. I went to Ervin Elementary in Kokomo, IN from K – 3rd grades. From 4th – 6th grades, I went to Converse Elementary School in Converse, IN.
Q. Who was your favorite school teacher?
A. My 4th grade teacher, Miss Drake.
Q. What school subjects did you like best?
A. Reading, spelling and social studies.
Q. What did you keep in your desk?
A. The usual stuff: textbooks, workbooks, notebooks, notes from friends, a school box with pencils, erasers, crayons, scissors, glue, a ruler. Of course I also had some paper trash in my desk.
Q. How did you get to school each day?
A. I rode a school bus to both schools. When I went to Converse Elem., the bus picked me up at 7 a.m. and we got to school at 8 a.m. It was a long ride.
Q. What games did you and your friends play at recess?
A. Tetherball was a big favorite. We also played “chase,” dodge ball and kick ball. Sometimes we jumped rope and played on the swings and monkey bars.
Q. Did you eat school lunch or bring food from home?
A. I ate school lunches. Ick. I did like it when they had smokies and macaroni and cheese though.
Q. Who was your best friend in elementary school?
A. I had a lot of good friends, but my best friend at Converse Elem. was Michelle Ferrand.
Q. What did you do during your summer vacations?
A. Played with my cousin, Susan, who lived next door. We would ride our bikes, go into town (Amboy) and meet friends at the park or play at friends’ houses in town.
