I totally missed this before and saw Amanda mention it as an inspiration so I had to come check it out! Bless his heart! That looks painful. However, you did an awesome job on documenting the whole thing. Love the title work!
ouch!!! lesson learned - what a perfect way to get across a hard life lesson here!! the desaturation on the photo is great! i really think you kept this to a perfect balance -
UGH!!!! poor kid!!! I'm glad he is ok though, thankfully. ANd Yes, for him what a lesson learned and this lo will certainly remind him of it as well as your obvious love for him. Wonderful job on this!
I came across this LO in the gallery yesterday. It jumped off the page for me... Boy do I hope he learned his lesson(smiling). You remind me of myself...I take a pic of everything I can. What a great concept. Love everything about it.
Great journaling. I love the stories about these commom everyday occurances. I love the way you highlighted all of the injuries with the circles. Very nice lo for an unfortunate incident.
omg... i can't even begin imagine how you came up with this!!! i think this may be one of my lo's EVER... from anyone!!! it is so funky and different and everything is soooo incredibly placed in precisely the perfect spot!! this is sooo creative and i will DEFINITELY lift it as soon as I have the right picture. my gosh... into my faves!!! great, great, work!!!
THis is so cool and original!! Love everything on this page, except of course that your son was hurt. Ouch!! I really, really love the circles around each injury area. Great touch!!
Oh ***SIGH*** this is AWESOME!! Poor little thing though! Hope he recovers soon, but girl...this lo is HOTT...directly into my faves! Those lines and circles are just FAB!!!!!!!!!!!!!
My poor ds. Two hours after taking the picture from my "theLOOK" LO, he takes a very bad spill on his bike. Kind of a sigh of relief...he still has a LOT of boy left in him!! I have a hard and fast rule about helmets, but he and his cousin chose not to follow that rule today. As a result he has some pretty big strawberries on his face and shoulder. *It does LOOK worse than it is*. He cheered up immensely when I told him he looked like Rocky Balboa (he's a BIG fan of Rocky movies, just like his dd). But he was NOT happy about me taking his picture (you can clearly see it in his expression!!), but I felt that this is something I should document. Hopefully he remembers what can happen when he forgets to use his helmet & hopefully he never has to find out again. I did keep the LO pretty stark (except for the lines every where) and desaturated the photo a bit. Border added for posting (thanks, Amanda!) TFL!
Jounraling: Oh baby. You took a pretty rough fall today. You and your cousin decided to ride your bikes without telling me. And in doing so, you chose not to use your helmet (although you know very well that it is strict rule for you to do so). I cannot stress enough the importance of wearing a helmet. In fact it’s more than a precaution (typo fixed IRL), it can be life saving. You were very lucky today that although your fall hurt, it was not life-threatening. You were so upset that you fell, embarrassed, and in lots of pain. And although I know you hate to fall, it’s something that happens often in life. We fall so that we can learn how to pick ourselves up again. I know it was hard, but I hope this was a lesson learned.
