"I am approaching a turning point in my life. Nothing major is happening, but I feel a need for change from within. I am longing to be a better version of me. A better wife, better mother, better daughter, sister, friend. I want to be the best, not better than any other woman, just the best me. I want to be my best, without perfection. I want to make a mark, being me.

I am a woman, created by God with a life only I can lead. Other women are daughters, sisters, wives, and mothers just like me, but none will do exactly the things I do. None will have exactaly the hobbies I do, even though many will cook, scrap and have tea parties with their daughters. My life is uniquely mine. It is joyful and often playful. I can only hope to be the best “me” in my daily life.

That means that I don’t have to be the most envied wife, the favorite mom, the daughter who can do no wrong. It means I don’t have to be the best scrapper, be published, have the most-read blog (no one reads it anyway!), or the most “favorited” layouts. I don’t have to have the cleanest house or send my girls to 6 different activites.

It means that I will ask God to give me the grace to LOVE my family more today than I did yesterday, to share my joy, enjoy my hobbies and not put them abouve my family. It means I will be me, with all my crazy habits, pet peeves, dusty furniture, disheveled beds, scuffed walls, unpublished layouts, and sometimes burnt cooking. It means that I will live daily with joy, without comparing myself to Martha or anyone else. I will have more tea parties, dance and twirl more, thank God more, tickle toes more. I will chat and laugh with my husband more. I will focus on the moment instead of thinking of my next project. I will be me, I will play, and make a difference in the world that is my family."

The photo has a list of descriptive words about myself "I am blessed...Catholic...young...petite...wife...mother...daughter...sister...sister in law...daughter in law...friend...sahm...homemaker...baker and chef..."scrappy artist"...dreamer...scattered...hopeful and happy...searching...prayerful...American...traveler...college graduate...teacher...crunchy...'Martha'...in love...ME"

I changed the opacity on the Princess paper to give the soft pink look.
