My Senior picture from High School. Journaling is tucked behind the big square and reads:
1968 – That was my year. I was finally a Senior in high school. At 17 years of age, I thought I knew everything! How very naïve I was! I look at this picture now (2007) and I see a girl whose only dream was to be a wife and mother. I had a very strict upbringing – at least by today’s standards. I remember wanting to “fit in” with everyone else – basically the same issue teenagers face today. Fitting in was difficult for me – I was shy, my parents did not allow me to wear makeup, my parents wanted to know where I was and who I was with, and my curfew was still 10:00 pm when I graduated! Looking back now, I can see that my parents did what they thought was best for me…and I in turn did the same things to my children when they were growing up. My dream DID come true….I married at 19, and had 3 children by the time I was 28. I can’t say that my life has been the kind of life that storybooks tell…but I don’t believe that I would change anything. The person I am today is the culmination of all the life experiences I've had during the past 39 years….and I’m happy with it.

Thanks so much for looking!
