Journaling Reads: On August 5, 2006 you taught me the most valuable lesson a person can ever learn. It took you 3 years to teach me but I finally understood in that one moment when I heard dad crying on the other end of the phone. You tried to prepare me for thatmoment, but I just refused to pay attention. and now I wish I had. What lesson did you teach me? You taught me all about TIME and how we cannot control how much TIME we have here on Earth but we can control how we spend that TIME. You made Mathew all of those beautiful scrapbooks about his TIME with you so that he would always remember his Meme and his special TIMES with her. I didn’t understand how important those scrapbooks were going to be to all of us until that one moment in TIME on August 5, 2006. A whole year has gone by and I am still trying to live my life by your lesson. I cherish each and every moment I get to spend with the people I love and I do not take my TIME with them for granted now..I know now that TIME is precious,and we never know when TIME is going to run out. I want to thank you Patsy, because now I know those around me will look back when my TIME has come and know that our TIME together was the best it could have been and more.
