First, gotta give credit where credit is due... I was inspired to create this card when I saw Gracenotes4today's card, I'm Bananas 4 You. Thank you so much, Grace, for sharing your wonderful creations with us!
Soooo... I used Grace's basic design but with a black background instead of white. Plus, I don't have any embossing folders, so I couldn't dry emboss my background like she did. I put grass instead (cut from the Plantin Schoolbook Cricut cartridge)! All other images on this card were cut from the Sweethearts Cricut cartridge.
I used Pebbles Inc. Metallic Cream Chalk to highlight parts of the leaf (created with a regular image and a shadow image behind it), grass, and monkey. The word 'baby,' 'xoxo,' and the balloon tail were colored white with White Pearl Liquid Pearls. I used a Zig Writer to highlight the monkey's facial features (I really liked this effect in conjunction with the cream chalk). A few parts of the card (tips of grass, monkey appendages, end of vine) were left unglued to make the card a little 3-D. The monkey's face was adhered with a pop dot to add to the 3-D effect.
