Some papers just appeal to your eye and soul and you almost don’t want to cut them because they’re so dreamy. I had this sweet problem today with Paper Loft’s Gentler Time-collection. Orange is normally a color I find hard to work with, but this creamy marmalade color was love at first sight.
The stamp is so true and cute. It says ” more fun than an e-mail”. I stamped it on a piece of paper that came along with some products from Prima. The color was just perfect:). A little heat embossing gave it a nice texture and shine.
Every now and then my husband brings me home stuff he thinks I’ll like; a book, a snack or something for my creative hobby. The other day he had bought some sequins, and while that was very sweet of him, the plastic metal shine on sequins aren’t my favorite. However, as the frugal crafter I am, I had to use them in some way. I really liked the shapes (but not the shine), so I experimented a little with acrylic paint and the result is the green flower shape.
I added handmade photo corners to the vintage image and an old book page underneath. Made a little sewing aswell, just love how it looks on cards.
No card is complete without a flower, right;)? Layered with that gorgeous Paper Loft paper and a page from an old book. Some seam binding ribbon and a pretty pearl as a finishing touch.
