Another simple LO with my ds as the focus-heehee. :) This was taken at the Baylink Ferry dock in Vallejo. It was so cold! I swear, before we came up my mom told us not to bring any sweaters/jackets, just cool clothes because it was going to be hot. On most days, she couldn't have been further from the truth! We were cold as soon as we got off the plane! LOL! Anyway, back to the LO. This was a pretty good outting for my ds. He smiled almost throughout the whole day! Even when I took a LONG time picking out camera lenses! I wasn't going to do any journaling....I kind of dread it...but thought the LO was incomplete without it. TFL!
Journaling: Your smile. We saw a lot of it on this particular trip. It crept its way into our first conversation about riding on a ferry. Then it surfaced as a pack of doves gathered around you when we arrived at the dock. It remained steadily as we waited in the cold to board the ferry. When we chose seats on the top level of the boat, that smile of yours widened even more. As the fierce, nippy wind tossed us around outside on the deck, you smiled still (and laughed a whole lot, too!). So, I would be remised not to tell you that itís your smile that makes all of these things worth it for me. So when I am grumbling about numb fingers, or about the fact that I am forced to wear an ugly flannel shirt to keep warm, I turn to you to see that special smile. And it puts it all into perspective, baby. Now thatís a powerful smile.
**found a typo, shoot, I thought I had this one perfect! LOL.
