I have used this photo before but was not satisfied with the LO so I tried again. This still is not what I wanted as the colors are still too bold for a vintage look even though they are more subtle than they appear in this photo. Journaling: Lovie Pearl Fallin Taylor; b. Decemeber 7, 1890; d. November 27, 1941; During the depression years, she taught rural families how to use a canner to preserve food. She was the president of the first home demonstration club formed in Winn Parish. Mother always told me what a special lady she was and how devoted she had been to her family.
For the Heritage Challenge. BTW, the young woman on the left is my paternal grandmother who died before I was born.

I love it! The photo is priceless and the story too. I like the colors. Sometimes I think it is nice to have bold colors on a heritage page. Mine all tend to be too brown!

OK, keeping in mind that I am very into genealogy I feel like I just have to tell you that THIS is an AWESOME lo. Genealogy pics can be so hard to scrap and I think you did an incredible job! Your grandmother would be proud I bet :) Sorry you never got a chance to meet her, but I bet she is screaming from Heaven that she LOVES the color. It works! Going in my faves right now. TFS! Deborah
