Description: Created for the July 2008 Scrap Pack Challenge:
Contents of pack and use:
2" wired organza ribbon - Cut and curled wired part to create swirls.
stars & stripes napkin - Adhered to cardstock, cut in strips to use on side a bottom. Also used edge of napkin to punch flowers.
5 pop dots - Used under flowers next to berries.
8 bambooblocks - Placed at bottom as "Memorial" title.
8 white/clear buttons - Randomly placed at left of photo.
2 yds. white floss - Used to sew together flowers and sew on buttons.
6 red & blue mini flowers - Sewn together with cherry blossoms and punched flowers.
3 cream cherry blossoms - Sewn together and used throughout the LO.
cluster red/white/blue berries - Placed next to title at bottom of page.
The only scrap pack product left-over was the center of the napkin and ribbon, and a little bit of the floss.
I was so pleased with this scrap pack! I could immediately see the LO I wanted to create as soon as I opened the envelope... a memorial to those who have lost loved ones in this war.
The quote reads as follows:
"To those who died,
we remember;
to those who survived,
we hear you;
to future generations,
let us never forget."
What a great piece...thank you for honoring our loved ones who are paying the price for our country in such a beautiful way. Congrats, you so deserve it!
