Description: This was Grandpa's last year of school-4th grade-he was 14 yrs. old. After his father died, Grandpa had to work to help support his mom and siblings. This left no time for school. I remember Grandpa as a hard worker, first on the farm and then at the sugarbeet factory and as a caretaker at the same cemetary he is buried in at Brighton Colorado. Grandpa always played with us. I remember him as kind and gentle, but always tired. He grew old before his time an died when he was in his fifites. He always seemed kind of worn out and now I know why....he lost his childhood...he just always worked. Hmmm.... 1922

Amazing journaling and layout! The pp's are perfect with the vintage pic! Love the embellies and the way you did the title! What a great tribute to your Grandpa!

VERY cool page, awesome journaling about your grandpa! I just wondered, which child is he in the picture? I mean, for future generations in your family too, so they will know.

This layout is wonderful, as is the story. It's even more odd because I actually know where Brighton, Colorado is (I live in CO.)
