This one was a nightmare to create. It took me 4 hours to complete. I had seen a more basic design using the positive and negitve spaces of two designs some where in a SB book. Cant remember where. They used two circles and the title "Mr.".
What you do it take the two shapes and or title and cut them both out completely seperate from each other. Place them one ontop of each other. Once you have the arrangement you want tack the top one to the bottom one in this case I had the "A1C" on top of the Airforce logo. Once they are connected run the design carefuly though your larger Xyron. Now make any final positioning adjustments to them while they have the adhisive on the back and with a backing paper on it. Place it on a self healing cutting mat . Take your exato knife and cut out all the parts of the two designs that over lap each other. Then you will need to piece by piece place it all on the page.
The positive and negative space was very confusing to work with and I even made a wrong cut at one point. The mirror paper is terrible for fingerprints and adhesive residue. I just re-cleaned it before taking this photo took me about 15 min to get all the little pieces shiny again. Only the truly ambitious people should try this. Plus taking a photo of a mirrored paper .. you can see your self and the camera... Xyron was my friend as well as Mr. Exacto. Though I do love the end result. This is the USAF Logo and his graduating rank from Basic.
