Description: Inked, distressed, folded papers. Used Tim Holtz (Tarnished Brass) crackle Paint on chipboard letters. Hand cut the vine-like stamps, journaled and added my maternal grandmother's antique scrap.
The lady in the photo is my Great Aunt Tillie (Ottilia). She never married, although she was asked for her hand in marriage more than once. I think this was most likely because of the death of her sister in law, who died in childbirth, leaving two small children to care for. The little girls came to live with Aunt Tillie and her parents (my GGP). Aunt Tillie raised the two little girls, sewed for the entire family, cared for her elderly parents in later years, painted china, and was an accomplished pianist. She was a BEAUTIFUL lady, inside and out, and cared for her family more than for herself. TFL
