I wanting to change up the sharp edges of the other layouts I made using the DCWV Nana's Kids kit so I distressed them and used stitching in this layout. Each block is a die cut from the kit or a small piece of one made to fit.
I decided to keep the layouts in my Nana's kids album simple and clean by using cardstock backgrounds and layers, strips or bars of the patterned paper over them. Because Die Cuts With a View is so generous with their versatile papers in this pack (three sheets of each design) I'm going to be able to make at least 12 to 15 more layouts and some cards.
This Graphic-style layout with a hidden pocket (the circle in the top left-hand corner is the pull-tab for the journaling behind the white background) uses principles shared in the Easy Graphic-style and Color-Blocked layouts and Easy Specialty Layouts (has pocket information) from my latest New to Scrapbooking e-Book series.
