Love it! Your layout is adorable, the design and pps to go with that sweet photo are perfect. My mom used to give me Toni Home Perms and I got pics too..should scrap 'em. But really that is how short they cut bangs back in the 50s so mine always looked like that....1969 though....??
Here's a coincident I was just sitting here signing onto SB and thinking of my new yellow Thickers (rainboot) and how I should use them...and the very first layout I spy (on the home page!) is THIS layout using those very Thickers.
Anyway great job.
i got a haircut like this once.. my mom use to take me to her aunts house, and holy .... it was a pixie cut from the 50's, it was the only hair cut she knew how to give. This layout brought many memories to mind. I love the colors... i love your little inch worm..
Oh, this is going in my faves....right after I get over my PTSD attack. Flashbacks to weekends spent at my Granma's house. Every time I went there she would do some trimming....got out the beautician's tape and slap a piece on my bangs so she'd have a "cut line" if you will. I was horrified one Monday morning after a weekend at Granma's when I went to school and one of my teachers, Sister David Marie, gave me a look and then said, "well, somebody was at their Granma's this weekend." I wanted to die a thousand deaths right then and there. ARGH!!!! Thanks for sharing this....love it!
Oh, girl, I feel your pain! I had the horrible perms, too. And one time, when I was old enough to care (about 6th grade), my dad cut my bangs about this short. Oh, the horrors!!! I was hoping I could just stay home until they grew. LOL!! Into my faves!
Oh sister, I feel your pain!! But, my mom was a hairdresser and I STILL looked pathetic in my school photos! Maybe one day I'll be brave like you and will find the courage to scrap some of those horrid photos! Apart from the bangs, I think you were adorable!! Very cute design and inspiring too! Favorite for me!
OMG!!!!!!This is sooooooooooo cute & funny!!!! My Mom cut my bangs even shorter & I cried every time!!! And I DO remember pin curls!!!! Thanks for the memories!!!
oh Alicia!! those hairstyles were the times weren't they...my grandma didn't even do them, but one time my dad put MAYONNAISE in my hair...what?! But I have to disagree, your beautiful daughters do get their beautiful looks from their beautiful mother...just not the hairstyle!
Good morning! It's Flashback Friday, time for a heritage page. Today's challenge was a free one. We could scrap anything we wanted. I chose this pitiful-looking photo of me in 1st grade. (It's obvious my kids don't get their good looks from me, huh?)! My Grandma always cut my hair, and gave me perms (the real frizzy ones), put my hair in sponge rollers, and even used bobby pins for pin curls. I had the worst hair ever...thanks for taking a peek. Alicia
