In each of my layouts I am trying to tell some small piece of information or story so that our history isn't lost. In this LO, I write about how my mom didn't know her given name (Harriet Emma) until the first day of school. The journaling says:
Born Harriet Emma Taylor on Dec. 24, 1931, our Mom only knew her name as "Tina." Her parents (Pearl and Horace) called her Teeny, because she was so small. This evolved to Tina over the years. The first time Mom ever heard her given name was the first day of school when the teacher called "Harriet Emma Taylor."
