I used some old papers from my stash on this layout for my Paris-Rome album. The chipboard flourishes are covered with cardstock and inked. The title was cut with a Cricut and then stamped with a background stamp.
Journaling: Marble statues of Castor and Pollux stand at the top of the steps up Capitoline Hill, one of the seven hills of Rome. Michelangelo designed the Piazza del Campidoglio with the buildings set to create a trapozoid. A replica of a bronze statue of Marcus Aurelius, the only equestrian bronze to have survived since Antiquity, is at the center of the piazza. The steps up the hill were built wide enough for horse riders to ascend it without dismounting which made it difficult for this human! Each rise was too wide for one step and too narrow for two. The statue of Julius Caesar is on the way to the Roman ruins and the Colosseum.
