This page goes with the black and white page...also a memorial for Steven. His favorite color was purple so choosing the color was easy! I found the silk flowers at the dollar store but they were really bright so I watered down some black acryllic paint and soaked them in it for a little while and then let them dry on paper towel. I was happy with the way they turned out. I wanted to include a letter that I had written to Steven after he passed away...sort of a goodbye letter since we didn't get to say goodbye....but I didn't really want it to be easy accessible for just anyone to read. Under the copy of the obituary I used a clear plastic gift bag that has a white printed design on it and slipped the letter into it. I got the bags at the dollar store...25 in a package so I am sure you will see them again in another LO!!! I like that you can see threw it but there is enough stuff on the page that the letter can't really be read. I punched holes and then "sewed" the top shut....It can still be easily opened by untying the bow on top of the button and removing the string. The quote is from Helen Keller and reads - That we have once enjoyed and deeply loved we can never lose, for all that we love deeply becomes a part of us. I think my favorite element in this page is the little dragonfly charm hanging from the top right corner...it was the first time I ever made a little tassle and it turned out pretty good!
