My cat Jazzy is a real sun-lover, despite the long fur coat, his favorite place to be, is outside on the back deck, soaking up as many rays as he can. Of course, in upstate NY, the harsh winters mean months of bitter cold, no sun and lots of snow; Jazzy is not a fan of cold, wet paws or snow and is happy to stay indoors during the winter months, but it does not ease his longing for warm, sunny days, watching butterflies and bumble-bees and snoozing under the afternoon sun. So, he spends the winters perched on the chair, gazing out at the snowflakes falling, watching them pile up and oh so patiently, waiting for spring, when he can once again, be outside in the sun.
I made this layout for the 'use your scraps' challenge; the papers and stickers are from Bo Bunny's "Midnight Frost" collection. I made all of the larger snowflakes (a combination of punches, stickers, stickles and inking). The large white snowflake at the bottom right hand side was a 'clearance' item I found at Joann's.
