March 29, 2008 - Photo of Cassie playing Lego StarWars on the Gamecube at my mom & dad's. You can see Princess Leia on the screen. The punched hearts were inspired by the life hearts in the game. The pp's are all from the DCWV Mod Retro Stack.
This is for the Monthly Sketch Challenge Week 1. The twist was to try a new technique or use a non-scrapbook item on the page. I splattered paint on the page, but then something I hadn't tried before - I put a piece of paper over the paint and smoothed it down then lifted it to give the paint a sort of Rorschach effect. Not that exciting, but at least it dried faster, LOL. I also used logos from an old box of StarWars Legos and some Gamecube instructions.
Edit November 19, 2013. Okay, so I had this random picture of Lexie from my mom that I finally figured out, with help from my mom, was from this same time. There was no other place to put it since this album is finished, but I didn't want to throw it out because it's such a funny shot of Lexie being Lexie. She has her head in the pocket of my dad's vest that was hanging on the back of a chair because he carries biscuits in there when he's around dogs. Luckily, there was room on this LO, and I HATED the paint on it anyway, so covering it up was a good thing. I just matted the photo and plopped it in, changed the title from Gamecube Princess to A Gamecube Princess & a Biscuit Thief, and added the journaling: Cassie & Lexie Spring Break @ Grandma & Grandpa's. My OCD is happy now :)
