The Brits really love the sea...yet it is bloody cold water there! My mum says she remembers sitting on these hard, cold rocks with her mum and waiting for her dad to take this photo...and waiting...and waiting...and of course, he snapped it right as she looked down! I still think she looks sweet at 15 with her two-toned loafers and almost gypsy blouse. (yes, they seemed to dress up for the seaside visits!).

My mum and dad MET in Wales and I just (yesterday) read the very first letters they wrote to each other! My mum is 81 - and their letters are about 6 years after this - wonderful memories!

Another beautiful LO and lovely photo. I love the pp you chose for this photo and the piece of burlap adds so much. I think perhaps the English seaside is like the NW in the States. I loved going to the beach to swim on the East coast where they have the Gulf stream. The NW coast even in northern CA is foggy in the summer and the water is freezing - jeans, sweatshirts, etc. - no swimming without a wet suit. But, I digress, I love your LO and photo - great job.
