For 2009, I'm doing the Album in a Year project from Amanda Probst's column in the 2008 issues of CK Magazine. This is my version of the September project. You can see Amanda's version for '07 on her blog at http://amandaprobst.squarespace.com/. You can see my other finished LO's for this project in my gallery in my 2009 Album and Month LO's album: '09 Month by Month; January - I Predict; February - 10 Things I LOVE this Month; March - As Luck would have it; April - By the Numbers; May - Faces of May; June - We Were Here; July - What We'll Remember; August - These Photos.
This one was a little hard to figure out. Amanda's photos and 'lessons' dealt with her kids mostly, so the back to school theme made sense. My photos in September were mostly for the three photo groups I joined that month, so I struggled a bit with adapting the theme. The title block had the school bus on it, however, so in the end, I decided to just go with it and be done.
I downloaded the title from Amanda as a pdf file and printed it on Kraft cs. I found the cute school bus pp from Little Yellow Bicycle and figured this was my only chance to use it since my dd never had a bus for school. The journaling cards are from ChicTags. The package only came with one Book Due card, so I scanned it and made color copies on white cs. I punched circles out of two of them. They are all raised on foam tape.
The lessons: Looking for photo subjects makes you see the world differently. (Get Better @Photography - An Old Door Sep 5, 09); Sunrise is worth waking up for. (Sep 8, 09); Beauty is everywhere if you look. (Get Better @Photograpy - Something Aged - Antique Cash Register @Headwaters Sep 6, 09); Trying new photo techniques is fun. (Get Better @Photography - Water Sep 5, 09); Getting off the higway and driving the back roads leads to interesting discoveries. (Get Better @Photography - Skyline - Windmills Sep 4, 09)
