Photo and news article about my uncle who played steel guitar. I'm not sure if this photo was actually taken in Nashville or Birmingham at Channel 13. My uncle actually played at the Opry when he was still in high school. He is the second from the right. The man in the middle is "Happy Wilson" and the band is the Golden River Boys. For this LO I made some of the embellies like the Record lable Birmingham Bounce which he played on and the old poster of the Ryman. My uncle's guitar is the 12 string flat top in the middle. This is the first time I distressed and did not ink the paper leaving it white. I used a clear lable to print the words Grand Ole Opry and Golden River Boys for the ticket. I had to stick in the radio tape tab because it amazes me that at the Opry they played Live on the radio!
