Love your story! Lovely page and love those papers you used, wonderfully embellished. Isn't it fun to dig into the past and learn all those wonderful details?
what a wonderful story; my neighbour and her husband were very much like that-got engaged on their second date when she was only 17 and were together 63 years! love the balloons and folded corner!
From the Swirlydoos Nouveau Sketch Challenge..I forgot to load this one anywhere!
My grandparents were married on August 21, 1928. My Grandfather was then a H.S. football coach, but in the summer he worked at a YMCA camp in Wisconsin...so he wasn't finished with that job when the wedding was done, so off they went up to Wisconsin from Birmingham AL. My grandmother MUST have been madly in love, because she was totally NOT an outdoorsy girl who would have liked her honeymoon in some cabin/tent thing! And they had only had a couple dates when he went to the camp that summer...they barely knew each other when they got engaged...but were crazy in love for almost 60 years, until my grandfather passed away in June 1988! Since their lives were a great adventure, I suppose this strange honeymoon set the tone for their marriage! The story is on the card behind the globe...it says PULL. :)
