And just think he was a minor king, if the other kings had not been grave robbed in antiquity they would have made tut's seem paltry in comparison. Was the side of the building damaged, it looks like there's smoke damage? Love the hieroglyph bg paper!
Then it was time to go to the Cairo museum. I loved every inch of it! Especially the second floor which is where all the King Tut artifacts are. We were in King Tut's tomb in 2009 and it sparked an absolute fascination in me for Egyptian history. Then in 2012 we saw the King Tut exhibit in Seattle. I was very impressed with the exhibit but it was nothing compared to the King Tut artifacts in this museum! I could not believe how many things were on display here that had been discovered in his tomb! I was totally amazed at all the things in the museum (they house over 130,000 ancient Egyptian pieces including the King Tut pieces)
Much too soon we had to leave the museum to go to our next stop.
